What a child does on Sunday

They line up, move a little, then spend the morning in their age group. Not a lecture hall. Younger kids sing and play; teens dig into lessons and skills. Parents can wait in the hall or help when asked.

What to wear

Members wear the blue uniform (áo lam). Guests: neat clothes, closed-toe shoes, water bottle.

Age groups

Three age groups — Đồng (Oanh Vũ), Thiếu, Thanh — plus the adult leaders. Bi – Trí – Dũng is shared; Sunday looks different by group.

Oanh Vũ

Ages 6–12 (Đồng)

Youngest group — songs, games, stories, and simple Buddhist lessons. Motto: Hòa · Tin · Vui. Learn in small flocks (đàn).

Thiếu Nam / Thiếu Nữ

Ages 13–17 (Thiếu)

Teen group — deeper Buddhist study, team skills, service, and camps. Ranks: Hướng Thiện → Chánh Thiện.

Thanh Nam / Thanh Nữ

Ages 18+ (Thanh)

Young adults training beside leaders: run activities, mentor younger groups, keep Sunday rhythm.

Huynh Trưởng

Trained adult leaders

Adult leadership team — plan Sundays, teach by age group, watch safety, talk with parents. Not an age group: adults who completed training camps (Lộc Uyển and up).

Notes for families

  • Uniform order window

New members: measure your child this Sunday. Orders close the following Sunday.

  • Parking on busy Sundays

Use the side lot first. Do not block the fire lane. Drop younger kids at the hall door, then park.

Show up once

Bring your child a little before 9:00. Tell the door lead it’s your first Sunday. Stay through the morning; pick up by 2:00. Ask about fees, uniforms, and which age group fits.

Text the chapter lead with your child’s name and age.
